Gonna keep things short here in the preamble. One thing I’m gonna really start focusing on is my abs & lower back. I want to bullet proof these things in order to help me with my lifts, plus if my core is solid than I can take a punch and be alright. I remember years ago reading a Punisher comic book where some thugs were trying to whoop on Frank, and while punching him in the stomach someone says “His stomach is like a brick wall!”. Something has kicked in during this program, because I’m losing fat, my strength is shooting up, and I’m seriously hungry all the time. No joke, I have to eat every 2 hours or so, and eat a lot, otherwise it’s Bad News Bears. I’m real proud of the fact that I built this program myself, and it’s a success. I’ve built little easy programs before for clients and such, but this is the first time I’ve built an extensive program that had direct goals attached with it. Today I was a bit crunched for time, so instead of doing 5×5 on the first two compound exercises, I went for 4 sets of 6. 6 is a good number, right in that sweet spot of strength & hypertrophy. Plus I wanted to see if I could nab 4 constant sets of 6, and see if my strength has really increased.
I took this update pic the other day. I haven’t measured, but I’d say my legs are still 30 inches each, but with a little less fat than last time. Check yesterday’s update to see what I’ve been doing for my legs.

A few months ago I decided to up my leg training game, and it’s paid off in fucking spades. They’re thicker, denser, and more defined than ever. A few reasons for the change I believe are doing squats with as full ROM as possible, sissy squats, stiff leg deadlifts, some days walking almost 4 miles on incline, and most importantly; almost zero machines. Free weights are key. My quads are bigger than ever, and I know that’s because I ditched the Leg Extension Machine for Sissy Squats. Really, if you guys are just reading, which is fine, I implore you to give the workout a try. Or, if you can’t do 6 days, try and condense it. Just do heavy compound lifts, and only allow yourself one machine/cable exercise per-workout. You’ll see a big change.

I’m loving this program, but I’m giving some thought to perhaps doing a 6 day, upper/lower split. It’d be three days upper body, and 3 days lower. Major compound lifts, smaller accessory stuff. I think it’d really help me to build up the major lifts.

So, I saw Daredevil season 2 this weekend, and to be honest, I didn’t think it was that great. I could go on for days about how they treated Frank Castle, my all time favorite comic book character, but let’s just say their version of The Punisher was about almost as far from who he is as possible. I missed Daredevil just fighting criminals. The Hand was cool, but after a while it became boring and monotonous. They weren’t nearly as interesting as Kingpin was, which is no surprise that his episode was the best.
Don’t get me wrong. The acting was solid, the costumes and effects were awesome, fantastic fight scenes, and everything else done right that you’d want done right, it’s just the story wasn’t really there for me.
