I’ll be your tour guide this evening as we take a look at John Carpenter’s interpretation of the 1980’s, with They Live. Starring one of the burliest cats of all time, Rowdy Roddy Piper. They Live is about an alien race that’s come here and subdued us, turning us into conformist puppets who chase money & material things while they take over. But then Roddy figures out what’s going on, and needless to say, he’s pissed about it. So, nuts to getting answers, because the business end of his shotgun is open, and everything must go.

Right now it’s coming down to the last few pancakes, and I’m stuffed. So it’s doing that thing where the food seems to get bigger and bigger with each bite you take.

Cripes all Friday. It’s over 90 degrees here, with some high humidity. Now, I know, to you cats in California, Arizona, Texas, and the South, that type of weather is laughable. Now, here in Washington, we’re use to raging highs of 70 degrees. Plus, I’m 260lbs, and I run hot. Meaning I sweat if I even think of the sun. I mean, I saw a basketball once and that was enough, boom, sweat. So, this weather is killing your boy, and I cannot wait for bed time because then I can turn on my AC and freeze myself to death.

As I mentioned a few days ago, I started a new Pre & Intra Nutrition program. I wake up, have 60g of cheap carbs like Gatorade, and 30g of Whey Isolate which is all about an hour before the gym. 15 minutes before the workout I have another 20g of carbs, and 20g of protein. Once at the gym, I sip 50g of carbs mixed with a scoop of BCAA and also sip on a 45g Whey Isolate protein shake.

Basically, what all this does is the carbs spike your blood sugar, and keep the insulin high, as well as the glycogen in your muscles. The insulin carries the protein & BCAAs into your muscles much better than without it. While you’re working out, your body is screaming for nutrients and you’re keeping it stocked, so it’s soaking them up like a sponge.

I’ve been doing it for three days now. It could simply be a placebo effect, but I swear it’s working. I’m real strong on my workouts, and my energy is through the roof. On top of that, for the rest of my day, I swear I look bigger than usual, like the pump is sticking around. It’s nuts. Tomorrow I start the bodybuilding style training, so I’m gonna see how my body reacts to that.
