Bodybuilding.com’s Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Blueprint – Day 40 – Shoulders & Arms Workout

arnold-blueprint_day19_graphics-1Greetings, all.

Last year when I tried doing Arnold’s program, I was still some what attached to the notion that if I trained any longer than an hour, or did more than 3 to 4 sets, all my gains would disappear. So, I chopped down sets & reps, and really only did 60-75% of what was written. Because, you know, I’d been working out for 3 years by then, only working out properly for about 6 months, so clearly I know more than the professionals. I still saw a lot of gains, but I definitely cheated myself.
Basically, if you’re going to do a program, try and follow it to a T. I mean, if it’s something some random guy on a message board built, then who knows. But if it was someone like Arnold, Mark Rippetoe, or Jim Stoppani, then listen. They know exactly what they’re doing, and you’re going to yourself Of course, if you can’t do a certain exercise for whatever reason you can switch it out, but try and do your best to make it as similar to the original choice.

Alrighty, let’s get it.

Bodybuilding.com’s Arnold’s Blueprint Trainer – Day 12 – Shoulders & Arms – Plus, Some Progress Photo Action

arnold-shoulder-pressingGreetings, all.

Per request, I’ve got some progress photo action going on. I realized I’ve posted zero photos of my back, so I made sure to include those. Of course, being fat buff, you don’t get the road-map back like when you’re low-bodyfat, instead, it’s just a thick freaking back, which I’m proud of. My back wasn’t anything, for years, because I wasn’t really paying attention to it, like I was the mirror muscles, as so many of us do. But then I quit being an idiot, and went after it with a vengeance.

caliberbackmarch252015-tileMy two favorite movements for the back have been Bent-Over Rows, which I hit 275 with for a few reps the other day, and the Hammer Strength Reverse Grip Pull-Down. Just an awesome feeling with that machine, creates an incredible stretch in the lats.

calibercomparemarch25th2015The two photos on the left are older photos. The black & white one was taken in May of 2013, almost 2 years ago. The difference is pretty significant, as it doesn’t even really look like I lift, I thought I was, but I wasn’t. I was doing Heavy Duty training, only working out twice a week, like a chump. Not to mention I was sticking with machines. The bottom left was July 1st, 2014. Less than a year ago and there’s still significant change. My forearms, biceps & triceps are thicker, and I really grew in the yoke area, which is the chest/shoulders/traps. The photo on the right was taken this morning.

CaliberYokeMarch25th2015This is just a picture of my ‘yoke’. The yoke is the shoulders/upper chest/traps/upper back. It’s something I’ve been working on for a while, and I think I have it at a pretty respectable level.

I just need to start tanning, so I quit looking like Casper The Fat Buff Ghost.

Alrighty, let’s get it.

Bodybuilding.com’s Project Mass – Day 67 – Strength Based Push Day

Arnold-Training-TipsGreetings, all.

Took a few update pics this morning. Basically, I look like a pirate who made a gym out of barrels of rum.

currentCaliberMarch1Yes, I know, I very much need to tan. It’d help to bring out more definition, and people wouldn’t confuse me as the main character from the shortly ran cartoon series, Casper The FatBuff Ghost.

I’m trying to cut a little fat now. It’s not a big ol’ official cut, with the “figure out your maintenance and cut the 300 calories” ordeal. I’m gonna take it nice and slow, and aim for like, 5-10lbs of fat over a couple months. Nothing crazy.

Alrighty, let’s get it.

Bodybuilding.com’s Project Mass – Day 44 – Strength Based Push Day – Plus, Photo Updates.

francobenchGreetings, all.

Before we get to the action of today’s workout, I thought I’d share some photo updates. I’ve been bulking for a few months, and starting with this program, as well as adding BioGro to the supps, I’ve put on around 12lbs. A lot of it has gone to my traps, which is something I’ve really been focusing on. My back & chest have really grown as well, same with my shoulders & quads. I haven’t put on too much fat, but clearly I’ve had to put on some. I’ve got 6 weeks left on the bulk, and I imagine I’ll put on another pound or two.

currentcalfeb12015After doing my first Most Muscular, I realized I didn’t make the “Grrr!” face, and you know, you gotta. I need to bring those forearms up.

currentcalfeb12015part2I really gotta say I’m proud of my traps. I seriously put work into those bad-boys, and it really paid off. Same with my back. I didn’t include any photos of that because, to be honest, I need to shave it. Hair destroys definition, hence why I trim down my chest. I don’t shave it all the way, just trim it down. Now, while I’m Fat Buff till the casket drops, I’ll never have my stomach stick out further than my chest.

Alrighty, let’s get it.

Bodybuilding.com’s Project Mass – Day 8 – Strength Day – Push Day – Plus, Progress Photo

arnold-incline2_570_334_c1Greetings, all.

Before we get into the fantastic action that was my workout, I thought I’d share a couple progress photos I took. I’ve been on a bulk for about 2 months now, and I’ve gained about 5lbs, as well as a decent amount of strength. I’m looking thicker & fuller, and because I keep on my incline walking, not putting on any extra fat.

calibercurrentdecember212014I’m thinking maybe another 10lbs or so, and then I’ll drop a few lbs of fat, but nothing too crazy, because I don’t want to lose any of the hard earned muscle. I’ll never understand those people who are natural that bulk and cut, bulk and cut, bulk and cut, because they barely put on any muscle, then lose it all because they’re terrified to not have abs. Hogwash.

Alrighty, let’s get it…

Pull Day 2 – Lats, Biceps, Rear Delts – Plus, Some New Photos

83103_ORIG-t_bar_rows_latsGreetings, all.

Before we get to the second Pull Day of the week, I’ve got a couple photo updates. I’ve been on a bulk lately, and it’s been great. I’ve been getting stronger than ever, as well as looking thicker & fuller. As they say in France, awesome sauce.

calibercurrentdecember2ndI gave it a festive Christmas border, because so often we don’t have buffness during the holiday season. This is the biggest I’ve ever been. My left tricep needs to be brought up, as you can see it’s not as big as my right. Also, my right front delt is bigger than my left. I’m currently using my second push day of the week to bring up my upper chest, as it could stand to get a little more thickness. My forearms are coming along, and I think that’s due to me getting a forearm roller, as well as not relying on my lifting straps as often as I use to.

caliberplatzNo festive border this time around, but I am wearing my festive boxers. You always get a little more with Caliber. I decided to post a picture of my legs since I haven’t yet, and wanted to show that unlike most guys, my legs match my upper body. My calves are one of my strongest bodyparts, and I’m proud to say they’re in proportion to my biceps, at around a little more than 19 inches. My thighs are about 33 or so, as well as very white.

caliberoct162014This one is more so to display the over-all thickness in my delts, traps, and chest. To, as always, show peeps that being fat buff doesn’t mean you can’t have bodybuilder features.

Alright, buckshots, on with the show.

Let’s get it…

Just a couple photos

One of the reasons I started this site as well as the youtube channel is to help people understand that you need to work for your goals, and not the goals of others. That you can lift, be healthy & happy and don’t have to shredded to look good. That not everyone was built to look like a True Blood vampire.
I’m posting a few photos I took yesterday just to show where I’m at, and show that you can still look damn good with double-digit bodyfat. That you don’t have to follow macros and all that. That you need to understand that some of us are always gonna hold more bodyfat than the others, but on the plus side we can pack on the mass, and have people mistake us for pick-up trucks. Like, you walk into your friend’s house and they say “Oh, snaps, for a second I thought a pick-up truck had just walked into my house. ”

calibercurrentnov112014I’ve really started paying attention to my arms & shoulders as of the last 6 months or so, and it’s finally paying off. Despite my massive anti-tan, you can see some shadow from my delts coming in, which is awesome. People always say “lose more fat to see more muscle”, I say fuck that, I say pack on so much muscle that it has NO CHOICE but to be seen. It will not be denied.

calcurrent2nov112014This one more so showcases the thickness I’ve developed. I’m around 250-255lbs these days. I’m currently bulking and would like to add around 5lbs. For me, all of my best gains came when I started working out 6 days a week. I know the idea can be kind of daunting at first, but once you get into the groove, you’ll never wanna go back.
